My day was awesome! I got to go to the district office and got meet all these cool people and and learn about their jobs. I got to meet the superintendent, Mr. LaCroix, see his office and talk about when he has to give delays or snow days. I learned that he’s the person who makes those decisions. I had Subway for lunch and I got to eat in the teachers lounge. It was cool to eat with the teachers. Then I got to go on a tour of the school, hand out Timbertail Tokens and see the secret places in the building. I got to announce the pick ups. My favorite part was when I got to make the announcements! I am so honored to be your principal for the day!

Swim Incentive Next Week!
Our Forest Glen students worked hard 3rd quarter to be good learners, be a good friend, and follow the Timbertail Way (Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible). To honor their hard work, we are going to go SWIMMING at the Lineville Pool next week! Thanks, parents/guardians for completing the required permission slip! Here is the swimming schedule.

Importance of School Attendance!
If your child will be absent due to an appointment, it is recommended that you attain an excuse from your provider for the date and time of the visit and return the excuse to the school office. This will ensure that the absence is noted as an excused absence or tardy. Appointment cards will NOT be accepted as an excuse.

2018-2019 4K-12 New Student Registration
If you know of a new family that has moved or is moving into the Howard-Suamico school district that has age-eligible children for school in the fall, please encourage them to register online at the district's web site at www.hssd.k12.wi.us/registration-forms

Soon we will be developing class lists for the 2018-2019 school year. Creating class lists is always a challenge as we try to make sure each student is placed appropriately and each classroom is balanced. We use the following variables to create classrooms that are optimal for learning:

Food Service Employment Opportunities
If you enjoy spending time with children, being physically active, and having extra spending money, consider working for the HSSD Food Service. Applications are currently being accepted for a part-time Food Service Assistant or substitute. School Board Connection
On April 3, 2018, the communities of Howard and Suamico approved the operational referendum, placed on the ballot by the Board of Education, by a 58.6% to 41.4% margin.
Thank you to residents who attended listening sessions, asked questions, and voted. Your engagement demonstrates our communities’ interest and dedication to our students, staff and schools.
The results represent a vote of confidence in the vision for the school district and will allow us to address critical needs, including reducing class size, enhancing teacher compensation, and maintaining facilities. We will continue to give regular updates on the referendum.
