Dear Forest Glen Elementary, On behalf of the American Heart Association and the millions of Americans we serve, thank you very much for your school's donation of $12,537.00. Families and schools are critical links in providing the foundation for cardiovascular wellness in our country. By holding this event at your school each year, you raise awareness about heart-healthy living. And you help us fund more lifesaving scientific research and critically needed education efforts. Thank you. Almost every family in America is touched by heart disease or stroke, and your school's contribution will significantly impact our fight against these devastating illnesses. We hope that your entire school community found this lifesaving effort rewarding and enjoyable. You are touching so many lives — and life is why we exist as an organization. Your help and support are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to partnering again with you next year! Warm regards, Nancy Brown Chief Executive Officer, American Heart Association 2018-2019 Kindergarten Families

On April 3, 2018, the communities of Howard and Suamico approved the operational referendum, placed on the ballot by the Board of Education, by a 58.6% to 41.4% margin. Thank you to residents who attended listening sessions, asked questions, and voted. Your engagement demonstrates our communities’ interest and dedication to our students, staff and schools. The results represent a vote of confidence in the vision for the school district and will allow us to address critical needs, including reducing class size, enhancing teacher compensation, and maintaining facilities. We will continue to give regular updates on the referendum. If you have any questions for the Board of Education, please reach out to your school board member. Community Corner
