DRESS FOR THE WEATHER

Please remember to send your child with appropriate outer wear each day. This should include winter jacket, snow pants,
boots, mittens/gloves and hat. Please remember to label all items with child's name. As a rule all children go outside daily when the weather temperature, factoring in the wind chill, is at or above zero degrees. This can be a long time when you feel chilled! Some students are also walking to and from school and some may be standing at a bus stop for several minutes. We want all our children to stay healthy so they can do their best at school!

Forest Glen Health Room Needs Items!

The health room clothing supply at Forest Glen is in need of girls' and boys' underwear of all sizes. if you would be willing to donate, please drop items off in the office or send them to school with your child to be brought to the office.

A supply of extra clothes is available in the health room in case students have a bathroom accident, lunchroom spill, or fall in a puddle. We ask that borrowed clothes are washed and returned to school as soon possible.

Thanks in advance for your donation!

Importance of School Attendance!

If your child will be absent due to an appointment, it is recommended that you attain an excuse from your provider for the date and time of the visit and return the excuse to the school office. This will ensure that the absence is noted as an excused absence or tardy. Appointment cards will NOT be accepted as an excuse.

Call to report your child's daily absence by calling the school's attendance line at 662-7990.

NEW!!
Report your child's absence online here :
 http://forestglenhssd.weebly.com/electronic-absence-form.html

Monitor your child’s tardies and absences through the district website: http://powerschool.hssd.k12.wi.us/public/

Click here for more information about the importance of attendance from the State Superintendent's office.

EMERGENCY CLOSINGS AND DELAYS

Inclement weather may necessitate the closing or delay of schools. If schools are closed this will also include the cancellation of extracurricular activities and the events in the community pool unless otherwise announced. Please listen to local radio or television stations for school closings or delays. Such weather may also deter students from going outside during the school day. Please be sure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather. In addition to local radio and television, weather conditions can be checked on-line at www.hssd.k12.wi.us
